Opportunities

Grants and Trusts Manager

Job title Grants and Trusts Manager Salary: Up to £30k
Reporting to: CEO Holidays: 33 days inc. public holidays (bank holidays need to be booked and aren’t an automatic entitlement)
Location: The Way Youth Zone Hours: 40 hours per week (including occasional evenings & weekends)
Key Relationships: Youth Zone staff, grants & trusts bodies and other relevant organisations

The Grants & Trusts Manager will be responsible for identifying and submitting written applications to a range of Trusts, Foundations and other charitable funding sources in order to maximise future funding potential for services delivered by The Way Wolverhampton Youth Zone. There will be a focus on contributing to the core mission and activities of the zone. The post holder would be expected to raise approximately £200-250k core income per annum (subject to review).

You will have Trust Fundraising Experience, preferably working on grants at 5 figures + and multi-year grants. You will also have Experience developing and maintaining relationship with donors – minimum three years direct experience, and project development experience.

Mentoring Co-Ordinator

To support the delivery of an efficient and effective structured Mentoring Programme aimed at vulnerable, disadvantaged and at-risk children and young people from across the Wolverhampton borough, under the leadership of the Mentoring Lead.

You will be responsible for supporting the coordination of a cohort of approximately 30 children/young people and 30 volunteer mentors and will initially support the Mentoring Lead to match children and young people aged between 8 to 19 years (up to 24 years with a disability) with appropriate volunteer mentors and manage the mentoring relationship they share using already established matching procedures.

The Way Youth Zone has been successful in securing additional funds to support our outreach activities across Wolverhampton.  We are seeking to recruit a team of four suitably experienced you worker to support our city-wide and targeted outreach activities.

Job Purpose:

To be part of a team that deliver an effective targeted (geographically and thematically specific) and universal (city wide) outreach programme that successfully engages young people to become members of The Way Wolverhampton Youth Zone. You will be responsible for ensuring appropriate use of project resources and work collaboratively with The Way Wolverhampton Youth Zone staff, volunteers and young people to realise our outreach and engagement ambitions. You will also work with the Outreach Lead to use effective and relevant systems to monitor and measure the impact of our outreach activities and where possible promote the project’s success.
