A & H Construction and Developments PLC have won the ‘Best Public Building’ category of the Midlands division of Celebrating Construction Built in Quality Awards for The Way Wolverhampton Youth Zone – yey!
The Way Youth Zone is a £5.5 million facility built for the young people of Wolverhampton based on School Street. The state-of-the-art facility has a high spec music room, a 3G football pitch, enterprise media suite, climbing wall, multi-use four court sports hall, cafe, dance studio, gym, cooking area, general recreation area and much more.
This iconic building was built by A & H Construction, they have more than 20 years experience in all aspects of building, civil engineering and project management, undertaking a wide range of projects in a range of market sectors.
The Way and A&H beat competition from Balfour Beatty for Stirchley Baths and Interserve Construction Ltd for Wednesbury Leisure Centre.
The Way Youth Zone’s Facilities Manager, Paul Childs said:
“We’re delighted our building has won an award. It’s a brilliant facility for the young people of Wolverhampton. There are over 20 activities every single night from indoor rock climbing on our wall to football on our 3g pitch – the same type of artificial pitch the England football team train on.”
