As we fast approach 100 days until the grand opening of The Way, construction of our new Youth Zone is, of course, gathering pace.
Our city’s new Youth Zone is set to open in January 2016 once construction has been completed and as the months, weeks and days pass, the reality of The Way is becoming ever so real.
As you will see in the Flickr gallery below, the Sports Hall floor has now been fitted as has the 3G pitch, with just the pile and fence left to go in. The inclusive changing facilities have recently been fitted as has the numerous kitchen facilities.
The upper-floor of the Youth Zone is now near completion.
The majority of the carpets have gone down upstairs, whilst the boxing suite and performing arts floor have both been successfully fitted with the equipment the next job on the busy list.
Currently the key task local construction company A and H Construction have to do is the fitting of the recreation area within the Youth Zone ground floor.
This will be followed with a number of further Interior elements being fitted over the remaining weeks.
Stay tuned for more updates on the construction of The Way. Until then check out the images in our Flickr gallery below. You will see how far we have come from the start of construction to the present day….
