We are delighted to announce two leadership changes that ensure continued support and stability for our Youth Zone.

Paul Snape has been appointed as our new Chief Executive. Paul brings a wealth of experience in the charity sector, having served as CEO for organizations like Leicester LGBT Centre, Pedestrian, and The Bridge (East Midlands). He is passionate about youth work and dedicated to guiding the Youth Zone with expertise and dedication.

Paul Snape stated, “Since joining as Interim CEO in January, I have been genuinely inspired by the transformative power of The Way Youth Zone, and I am honoured to join this incredible charity. Together, we will empower young people whatever their background to discover their unique talents, chase their dreams, and build a brighter future not just for themselves, but for our entire community.”

The announcement of Paul’s appointment comes alongside the news of Ian Budd, Chairman of The Way Youth Zone Board of Trustees, stepping down from his position at the end of May. Ian will be relocating when ordained in the Church of England.

This planned transition ensures consistency in leadership as Paul, with his extensive experience, takes the helm. The search for a new Chairman, who shares the Youth Zone’s commitment to supporting young people, will begin in March to ensure a smooth handover period.

As Chair of the Board, Ian has played a pivotal role in the charity’s recent growth and development. In appointing a new Chair, the Board of Directors will prioritise identifying a passionate and experienced leader who shares The Way Youth Zone’s mission to be the go-to place for young people in Wolverhampton.
