Last night we hosted our Founder Patron Preview night at our home, The Way.
With just 45 days to go until we officially open, last night gave our dedicated Founder Patron’s their opportunity to see our £6m facility up-close.
As you will see in the Flickr gallery below, the event was a HUGE success. Members of our Young People’s Development Group, who have played their part from day one of the project, presented our Founder Patron’s with their plaques, recognising their support.
Our young people, who cannot wait for us to open next month, then gave all the guests a personal tour of the facility, showing our Founder Patron’s just why their support will be so vital to the city’s young people.
We also invited local community groups and school children into our facility to perform dance routines, drama performances and a boxing show to entertain the guests on their tours.
Our Chairman Steve Morgan OBE opened up proceedings (in the video below), setting the scene and thanking all of the guests before our General Manager Alice Davey and our young people took over. Wolverhampton Wanderers legend and our Youth Zone Ambassador Steve Bull MBE was just one of the high profile supporters in attendance!
Check out a selection of the images from the event below:
General Manager Alice Davey said: “The Founder Patron event was a huge hit. I want to pay a massive thank you to all our Founder Patron’s and to our young people for making them feel so welcome. We hope many will be inspired to continue their support in the years to come.”
