We know that getting a job can be difficult and sometimes frustrating. If you want a helping hand, we’ve got loads of stuff happening that can help you find employment.

We call it Get A Job and it does exactly what it says on the tin. If you’re 16-24 years old and not in educations, employment or training, we’ll give you the skills you need:

Want to earn a little bit of extra money over Christmas? Our Get A Christmas Job scheme is geared to help you get seasonal work. It starts Monday 25th September and finishes Friday 13th October:

  • Open to young people aged 16-24 who are not in education, employment or training
  • Accredited Level 1 in Interpersonal & Customer Service Skills
  • Amazing workshops around customer service & interpersonal skills from Marston’s, Wolverhampton Homes & Wates
  • Job searching, CVs, cover letters/emails, job applications, practice interviews, 1-2-1 coaching and support

We’ll be building your CV, giving job searching tips, how to fill out application forms, and interview techniques. We’ll be working on other skills like confidence building using our state of the art facilities.

We’re also offering accredited qualifications like a Level 1 or 2 in Employability, Enterprise and Interpersonal Skills.

There’ll be Enterprise Projects empowering you to design, create, market and sell a product.

There’ll be opportunities to go into full time and part time work, apprenticeships and get work placements. Keep a look out around The Way Youth Zone for times and activities.
