GTG Training is the latest business to support The Way Youth Zone in Wolverhampton by becoming a Founder Patron.
GTG provides training services to many of the UK’s largest companies, including Arnold Clark Automobiles Ltd, major banks, public utilities, emergency services, the NHS and more.
Carol Henry, Director at GTG Training said:
“At GTG Training, we truly believe that young people should be given the opportunity to reach their full potential through training and development. That’s why we are supporting The Way, to encourage the youth of Wolverhampton to experience new challenges and learn new skills that will benefit them both in their personal lives and future careers.
‘GTG Training has over 40 years’ experience in delivering training expertise in many areas including automotive technical, business skills and transport training. Each year, we take on a number of apprentices to study at the Wolverhampton centre and have excellent links with industry, which ensures apprentices are given placements at quality organisations that maintain a high standard of training and learning.”
We spoke to Laura about why the company was supporting The Way, watch this:
“It’s brilliant to have GTG Training supporting The Way Youth Zone – it will create so many opportunities for our young people. Wolverhampton has the fourth highest unemployment of any English local authority area and GTG will help us tackle this issue.”
The Way Youth Zone is launching a ‘Get A Job’ scheme to help unemployed young people, aged 16-24 years old, in Wolverhampton get into employment or training. ‘Get A Job’ will look at CV building, interview techniques, job retention, confidence, health and safety in the workplace with visits to large employers and training providers like GTG.
