THE MORGAN FOUNDATION

Created in 2001 by Steve Morgan OBE, founder and chairman of Redrow plc, chairman of the Bridgemere Group of Companies and Wolverhampton Wanderers FC. It aims to support small to medium-sized charitable organisations to ‘make a difference’ within their local communities and is investing £1million into the Youth Zone.

THE ONSIDE FOUNDATION

The OnSide Foundation invests in new Youth Zones by flowing capital grants raised by OnSide to new projects. The Foundation recently raised £1million from The Queen’s Trust and St James’s Place Foundation for the benefit of Wolverhampton Youth Zone.

THE QUEEN..

THE QUEEN’S TRUST

The Queen’s Trust has donated £500,000 to the facility which is to be built on Little Brickkiln Street. The Queen’s Trust was set up in 1977 to help fund charities which ‘help young people help others’. At today’s prices, over £100m was raised.

ST JAMES’S PLACE FOUNDATION

The St. James’s Place Foundation has also donated £500,000 to the Youth Zone. The St. James’s Place Foundation is the grant-making charitable arm of the St. James’s Place Wealth Management Group and has raised over £30 million and funds hundreds of projects each year.

SPORT ENGLAND..

SPORT ENGLAND

Sport England is focused on helping people and communities across the country create a sporting habit for life. The organisation is investing over £1 billion of National Lottery and Exchequer funding between 2012 and 2017 and has chosen to support The Way with a capital investment of £500,000.

Chris Kelly, Chairman of Keltruck, the largest independently owned Scania truck dealership in Europe, said of the company’s donation to the club: “Many of our directors and employees live in or come from Wolverhampton, and not least our founder/shareholder, that the board felt it appropriate that we should support this wonderful initiative. We are fervently hoping that the next club will be in Sandwell, where there is equally an urgent need for a club like this, and if so, we will pledge our enthusiastic support for that club too!”

Garfield Weston Foundation has donated £350,000 to The Way Youth Zone. Garfield Weston support a wide range of charitable activity with approximately 1,500 charities across the UK benefiting each year from grants made by the Foundation.
