Volunteers at The Way Youth Zone have collectively won the prestigious Wolverhampton City Council Volunteer Award.
Sarah Cornaby, Aaron Westhead and Adam Boswell collected awards on behalf of our 126 strong volunteer team at a ceremony in Wolverhampton Grand Theatre.
This was said about The Way Youth Zone:
“The Way Youth Zone is a new charity in Wolverhampton and like all charities we rely on the general public to volunteer their time and give something back to the City that we are all so proud of. In the last 6 months the people of Wolverhampton have volunteered over 8000 hours and we currently have 126 live volunteers on programme. This is an overwhelming figure of which we are all very proud of. The volunteers are helping change the lives of the young people who attend the Youth Zone and raise all their aspirations in so many positive ways. The passion and dedication that all volunteers have provided over the last several months has been exceptional, with some individuals volunteering over 200 hours each. The Youth Zone cannot thank them enough.”
