The Way Youth Zone is thrilled to announce NIS Group as its first ever Cornerstone Patron, following a game-changing £100,000 investment to support young people across Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas.
This landmark partnership will launch a brand-new employability initiative, Way2Work – Building Futures Together, a long-term programme designed to equip local young people with the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to shape their own futures.
Through this powerful collaboration, young people will have access to a range of exciting opportunities including:
- Confidence-building and teamwork sessions for children
- Employability skills training and career exploration for teenagers
- Dedicated family and SEND support through joint workshops and mentoring
- Outreach youth work and targeted employability activities within the wider community
The launch of Way2Work comes at a critical time for Wolverhampton, where many young people are currently not in education, employment, or training (NEET). Without action, this challenge threatens to limit future growth and opportunity across the region.
By combining The Way’s trusted youth work expertise with NIS Group’s industry insight, this partnership aims to inspire, educate, and empower the next generation — transforming lives and building brighter futures.
Paul Snape, CEO at The Way Youth Zone, said:
“NIS Group becoming our first Cornerstone Patron is a huge moment for us. Their investment means we can expand the impact we have on young people and families across Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas. Way2Work is not just about preparing young people for jobs – it’s about giving them confidence, life skills, and belief in their own potential. This partnership is empowering young people to take control of their futures and realise what they’re truly capable of.”
Davie Carns, CEO of NIS Group, added:
“As a proud Black Country business with deep roots in the city, NIS Group is proud to have been a supporter of The Way Youth Zone for some years. The Way is a place where young people can achieve great things, and we are proud to continue our support of the great work going on there as the first Cornerstone Patron. Way2Work is a completely new and exciting direction and one we are delighted to support. It means we can provide support with an eye on future careers, which will be a boost not just for The Way, but for the wider Wolverhampton community.”
Together, NIS Group and The Way Youth Zone are tackling Wolverhampton’s biggest challenges head-on — creating opportunity, raising aspirations, and building a stronger future for the next generation.
