TOGETHER THIS CHRISTMAS - The Big Give Christmas Challenge
We’re excited to be part of this year’s Big Give Christmas Challenge with a goal to raise £40,000 to make Christmas at The Way Youth Zone truly magical for our young people and families.
From 2nd to 9th December, every donation made online to our campaign will be doubled, helping us fund a month of festive activities including our Festive Fayre, Christmas parties, and other seasonal events designed to be affordable, inclusive and accessible for all.
HOW IT WORKS
We have £20,000 in a matching pot, thanks to the generosity of one of our founder patrons, and our Big Give Champion, the Scouloudi Foundation.
Every time someone donates online during the campaign week, that donation is matched—doubling its impact instantly. So if you give £50, it becomes £100 for our charity. The matching pot is unlocked gradually, alongside each donation, meaning every gift helps us reach our target and unlock more matched funding.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
- Make a pledge before the campaign begins
- Hold a fundraising event to donate during the Big Give e.g. raffle/auction/dress down day/bake sale, Christmas drinks, festive quiz night etc.
- Donate online between 2nd and 9th December to have your gift doubled
- Share the campaign with friends, family and colleagues
- Help us spread the word on social media and in your community
WHAT IS A PLEDGE?
A pledge is a promise to donate a specific amount to our campaign, but it is not paid immediately.
Here’s how it works:
- Pledgers commit to donating a chosen amount
- We will send a reminder at the beginning of the Big Give week 2nd to 9th December with a link to the donation page so that you can fulfil your pledge
- Once your donation is made, the same amount will be released from our matching pot and we will receive double the donation!
