We’re thrilled to announce a major new partnership between The Way Youth Zone and the Jaguar Land Rover Foundation (JLRF) – a collaboration that will bring incredible opportunities to thousands of young people across Wolverhampton.
As part of a wider initiative between JLRF and national youth charity OnSide, The Way will receive £250,000 of a £500,000 investment dedicated to supporting young people. This funding comes at a crucial time and will help us reach over 2,500 young people every year.
What does this mean for young people?
This partnership will allow us to:
- Extend our opening hours and run more targeted programmes.
- Strengthen our open-access youth work and employability support.
- Give young people the chance to build confidence, learn new skills, and explore exciting career paths.
And that’s not all. Beyond the funding, this collaboration opens doors to real-world experiences linked to the automotive industry. Young people will have opportunities to:
- Visit Jaguar Land Rover sites.
- Take part in workshops led by JLR colleagues.
- Access mentoring and skills-based volunteering from JLR employees.
These experiences will provide invaluable insight into the world of work and inspire young people to imagine what their future could look like.
